About Putra Heights from Wikipedia

Putra Heights is a new township in UEP Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

A 1,796 acres (7.27 km2) development has come a long way since it was first unveiled in 1999. It is now a township filled with bustling activities that signifies the makings of a successful prime residential and commercial development. The township will comprise approximately 11,500 units of both residential and commercial properties once fully-completed within the next four years.

To date, almost 80% of the total units planned have been launched, over 6,400 unit of mixed properties comprising 5,000 double-storey link homes, 56 bungalow lots, 324 shop-offices and some 1,400 units of medium-cost apartments had been built in Putra Heights, a booming township with an estimated population of 15,000 residents. The residential area is expected to have a population of 60,000 residents when it is fully developed by 2016.

Set to be a thriving commercial hub in the heart of this township is PutraPoint – a highly sought after commercial development that will serve the needs of not only the residents of Putra Heights but also of the neighbouring townships of Subang Jaya, UEP Subang Jaya (USJ), Puchong and Shah Alam.

The township is currently accessible via expressways and roads, and will be connected by the 2 proposed LRT extensions scheduled to be completed in year 2012.

The expressway that passes directly through the township is North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE). The interchange at ELITE was opened to traffic on 19 February 2009, as the main route to Putra Heights. Other expressways connects through ELITE are the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS)

The 2 proposed LRT extension lines are the Kelana Jaya LRT extension line and the Ampang LRT extension line. Both lines will end at the LRT hub in Putra Heights.
